Secondhand Lions Soundtrack Album

The wonderful thing about Tim McCanlies and Newline is that director and studio have poured so much passion into not only the film, but the DVD and Soundtrack releases as well.

Like the Secondhand Lions DVD, the release of the Secondhand Lions score on CD seems to be a celebration of how wonderful this film is, and obviously much thought and passion have been put into the making of the soundtrack album.

Besides the brilliant and evocative score by Patrick Doyle, beautifully performed by the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra and recorded in the acoustically superb concert hall in Bratislava , the enhanced CD also features bonus material such as the cartoons that Berkley Breathed drew for Secondhand Lions , a picture gallery of the recording session of the film score , a printable sheet music featuring the piano version of the beautiful Main Theme, weblinks, downloadable desktop goodies, and an exclusive interview with director Tim McCanlies and composer Patrick Doyle.

All in all, a superb album that is well worth collecting, appealing not only to those who love film scores, but to those who love the film as well.
